lol. we got a new french teacher today. so anyway i was that first one in the classroom and he was like "hey babe," frick, i don't even know the guy....do you think he was just messin or being a pervert, it's freaked me out!

I would say ask him yourself. It's is first day so perhaps that is just his personality - but if it makes you feel uncomfortable just let him know that this is unacceptable and you do not want to be treated in this manner. Let him know how it makes you feel. See what he has to say, perhaps he is i) a pervert ii) trying to act "cool" to win over the class by using lingo he shouldn't use iii) it's just culture clash (perhaps acceptable where he comes from). Once he knows this bothers you take note of his actions. If this continues, then yes he is a definite pervert and you need to let the principal know immediately. If he does not stop after your discussion, there is no telling where he will stop. Best of luck!

Either he was just trying to be funny, or he said something stupid because he is new and rather nervous. Give the guy a break he will probly treat all the students in the same manner. But if the behavior is directed only at you, then be on your guard.

I wouldn't go as far as calling him a pervert. But it's inappropriate language. I would quietly tell him that you don't like him to address you as "hey babe" and would appreciate it if he wouldn't do it again. I am sure that he will get the message.

hes just being nice. If he he said it like a quick hey babe. not really expressing the word babe.
But if he did like a heey Babee kinda thing that u think a wink would go along with it then its perverted.

Any adult that calls a 15 year old Babe is got a problem. If it happens again tell your parents and the principal.

well maybe hes just being abit too freindly being his first day and all, but its still not appropriate for a teacher to be saying that to his students so keep a close eye on him!

maybe he's just nice but he should not speak to his students like that ever it's very unprofessional and you should speak to your principle or speak to your french teacher and tell him it offends you if it gets worse or really does something to offend you you should call the police
