Poland wasn't a country between 1795 and 1918. It was divided between Austria, Russia and Germany.

Poland dates back to the Crusades, and was independent until 1795, when it was split between the Prussians (predesessor to the German Empire), Russians, and Hapsburgs (Austria). Poland was granted independence after WWI.
