and also how old do you think you have to be when you can make decisions on your own or with friends and not parents? (if you disagree with your parents)

im worried, i know someone who is 14 and might be pregnant. i'm not related to her i'm her friend. what should i do?! i cant tell her parents... and i think i am the only person she told this to, so i'm kinda under pressure. i dont think she knows if she is pregnant yet.
i think it is really bad that she is only 14 and might be pregnant don't you?

Well, if I seriously think there is a problem and feel like I can fix it by myself than, I guess there is no certain age-it's just your confidence in fixing it. Because if I always listen to them; boss me around and help me learn wrong from right-then when will I learn on my own? .............Well, hunny unless you KNOW for sure that she is pregnant don't blab this to anyone, you are just going to stir up drama. And, this is her problem, if she is not ready to tell her folks-don't do it for her; it is her choice.

As far as how old you should be to make decisions on your own is very subjective and also depends on the maturity of the person.

You should not "tell on" your 14 year old friend until you are sure she is pregnant. You don't want to get people upset before you are sure of something. If you are sure, then you really needs to think it through before just going and saying something...be sure that is what you want to do before doing it because you can't take it back. I don't agree with the idea of a 14 year old being pregnant but things happen and everyone choses a different path. If she were my daughter...I would want to know and I would help her but she would be getting a major talking to.

Re your friend. If she is pregnant its not up to you to tell anyone. She confided in you & her pregnancy is hers to tell. Why should you be feeling any pressure? You're not the one who is pregnant.

A child is a child as long as she lives with her parents & is under age 18 unless she can move out & support herself. As far as marriage is concerned, the age of consent varies from state to state.

Alcohol - didn't try it til I was legal - then it was age 18 in Wash DC.

Got drunk 1st time - Sept 5 1965 at age 19.

Had sex 1st time - Sept 5 1965.

Last time I got drunk - 1975.

First b/f - age 15 when allowed to date.

First cigarette ever -age 18 1/2. Last cigarette age 43 in 1989.

- swore = I swore when I was about 8 lol but I got in trouble for it...I started using it as everyday words when I was 15 i think.
- tried alcohol =I tried a drink of my dad's Bud Light when I was 11
- got drunk =I haven't been DRUNK yet, just tipsy
- kissed =first kiss was in 2nd grade hehe, it was so sloppy and weird
- got kissed =2nd, it was mutual
- had a boy/girlfriend =first real boyfriend was in 6th grade
- snogged =uhhh probably later that 6th grade year
- had sex =when I was 14, I regret it now
- tried a cigarette =14

As for being too old and young for things I think 16 is the right age to grow up, 14 is definitly too young to be pregnant let alone to lose you virginity.

i neva swore, i neva tried alcohol,i neva got drunk,i was 13 when i first had my real kiss, i got kissed at 13, i had a boyfriend at the age of 13 idk what snogged means w/e it is i had sex at the age of 14 i neva had a cigarette. It depends on your raising and on the decision. u should be there for her in her time of need and you need to tell your friend that she need to take pregnancy test or go to the clinic to c if she is pregnant or not a sign of pregnancy is a missed cycle, or throwing up or your stomach is getting bigger and you r craving for food no don't tell her parents b/c if you do then she will neva trust you eva again and it is her place to tell her mama that she think that she is pregnant, yes that's bad to be only 14 and be pregnant but we learn from our mistakes and make up for them lata on in the long run

first about your friends....DO NOT TELL HER PARENTS. you need to go and get her a test and find out for sure first before you make any sudden moves and then if she is you need to talk to her because she may already have an idea about what she is going to do. but please dont tell her parents because that might just ruin her life...even tho the baby will to just dont do it.
