...or was he just created in our imagination? If hell exists I guess he does too.....cause I was taught that Satin does exist and to believe he's bad...wasn't he an angel that was kicked out of heaven?

He exists and some allow him to live in their hearts.

Well, I'm not here to question the validity of your belief, but I can tell you that the Satan of Judaism (where the "Old Testament" comes from) and the Satan of Christianity are two very different things.

The Jews don't believe that Satan is a fallen angel. They believe he works for God, and that the is the one who challenges your faith to help you grow.

Those who tell you that Satan is "Lucifer" are misquoting Isaiah 14:12-17, where bible translators messed up and gave a latin name to the Hebrew "Halel" (Lucifer is latin for light bearer, Halel means Day-star), and they also twist this into a fallen angel theme, when it's actually about a babylonian king who had tormented the jews for a long time, and then he lost his power.

The Greeks invaded the area known as Israel in the time between the Old and New Testament, and when they did, they brought along their strict concepts of good and evil. This is why you see such a difference in the Old and New testaments where "evil" is concerned. The jews didn't have that concept before the Greeks invaded. (You'll notice there are no demonic possessions in the old testament, but the new testament is rife with them).
Later on, the catholic church, in its "convert or be murdered" mandate changed the celtic horned god into "Satan" in order to make it more difficult for people to cling to their pagan beliefs.

So, perhaps you might want to do some studying up on this and see if you really believe in an evil fallen angel or not.

The Devil exists, he was an archangel in heaven until He wanted to be as God, and started a war against Him... 1/3 of the angels fell with him at that time. It's written in the Bible.

Yes the devil does exist. Once there is good there is evil. It is stated that Satan was indeed and angel and a very beautiful being but he wanted to be more powerful that God. Greed got to him and he was cast out of heaven. Since then he's been raising hell litterally

Yes, the devil really does exist and so does hell. He was the angel that got kicked out of heaven (along with a 3rd of his followers who are now demons.) The bible speaks of hell (Psalms 55:15). He is bad, for there is no truth found in him. He is the author of all lies. If he was created in our imagination, then that would make the Word of God void of what it says regarding satan and hell. And truly the Word of God is not void, for it is breathing, living and active. It has to be...Look who is the author.

If you believe in the supernatural, then why not believe anything? Apparently, the omniscient creator decided to make an evil angel he knew would rebel. Apparently, this evil angel was irrational. Apparently, this says something about its creator.

Sure, the devil exists. And he sees everything you're doing. He keeps track of every evil deed you've done so he can make sure he'll have your soul in hell.

Good qwuestion.

In all faiths and beliefs there is the counterbalance to good.

Does evil exist? Yes. Are these evil people motivated or spurred on by an evil force? Certainly. Is it the devil? That is just a title we give to this "force". Whatever you wish to call it, this force exists. Whether it is external or interal is the big question

Satan was the Angel Lucifer and he was thrown out of Heaven along with some other angels (who became devils) for attempting a rebellion against God.

Don't believe everything you hear. Satan isn't really a bad guy, he just gets all the bad "press". Gotta have someone to blame every bad thing on don't we? It's much easier than accepting responsibility for all the bad we as a race and as individuals have done.

I think he exists. I think he exists in certain people. I still believe good prevails, but we always broadcast the bad that people do and not the good. So sad!
