Two separte occassions.
I used to work at a local hotel. A well known country music singer was giving a two day concert and was staying at the hotel. Our general manager held a "lottery" to assign specific people to cater to the star. What a blast!
The second time was at a remote wilderness lodge. The celebrity booked the whole camp for a week. There was the celebrity and his entourage only in the camp (14 people).
After these two encounters, I don't really see what the big deal is about meeting a celebrity. They are regular people that eat, drink and **** like you and me.

I was on a vacation in US. While I was in Marshalls, I was falling in line to buy a couple of baseball hats. Then my sister pointed if I know that guy because a couple of people asked for a picture. And I saw Edward James Olmos w/ a mustache, I didn't expect to see him or anybody famous. I was a fresh fan of his TV show. I didn't hesitate to ask for a photo which is weird because I'm very shy, and he's really nice about it. When I saw him on the latest season in Battlestar Galactica he had a mustache and after a couple of episodes he shaved it on camera, which totally marks the time when I saw him.

I saw Luke Perry and Jenny Garth on Earth Day in 1994. I saw Baby Bash at the mall in Fresno, CA. I also got to see Tyson Beckford, Dale Earhart Jr, Chip Foose, Boyd Codington, and Danica Patrick at the SEMA show last year in Las Vegas. I've also seen all the N.Y. Yankee players close up during practice before the games in Oakland, CA. I never got to actually talk to any of them, but it was cool seeing them close up. So to answer your question. I guess "no" never "met" any of them. :o(

One of the many that I met while I was working at a musci theater was Harry connick, Jr. I was makig coffee and he just came up and starting talking to me. I also met Kenny Rogers, before the scary plastic surgery. He was really nice!

When I was a kid, I saw Michelle Kwan at Lake Arrowhead. She was a very nice person.
And I once met Amy Tan at the UCLA Festival of Books. She was very pleasant and signed my copy of the Joy Luck Club.

Yes I have I was at a tennis celebration in 8th grade and I met Serena and venus Williams and i got a Autographed Tennis Book of them

As a young girl, I met OJ Simpson (when he was a hero athelete to millions of children), Frank Sinatra, Tom Jones, and Jack Kemp (US Congressman and former pro football player).

Yes, I accidentally ran into Loretta Swit (from MASH) at a Jewelry and Gem show in Houston. I wasn't impressed. And I got to meet Glen Campbell when I went to a concert and we(my sister and I) were to deliver a note to him from his cousin that my sister is good friends with. No one around....went right up to him. He was a sweetheart and was so excited to get the note.
