Because he was the victim of bad information. But notice how he can adjust his position when better information comes. Why can't YOU?

Yes, Project for the New American Century (PNAC) members in 1998, following perceived Iraqi unwillingness to co-operate with UN weapons inspections, members of the PNAC, including former defense secretary Donald Rumsfeld and Paul Wolfowitz, wrote to President Bill Clinton urging him to remove Saddam Hussein from power. But yet, 9/11(2001) and Bin Laden/Afghanistan was the "original" reason to go to war-and did you notice that troops in Afghanistan were diverted to Iraq? You are right, this group wanted to invade Iraq for many years and has never told us the truth about why. We know there was faulty intelligence-but we still don't know why.

Are you still trying to prove... um... whatever on earth you are trying to prove? I mean you've been wating your life on here since the beginning. If you really care about the Repubs, go out and distribute flyers or be active in your political community. Dont sit on your *** in front of the computer screaming "LIBERALS SUCK" and "BUSH IS COOL!" Honestly, it's people like you who are hurting the republicans chances of winning. Because the only people who agreee with you are people like yourself. And that number of people will neither grow nor decline. you are NOT helping your cause here. Go campaigning.

I am a conservative, but I think that to believe that one I would have to see film of the event itself! It is not that I don't believe the content of what was said, or that Bill believes it too, just that he would say it publicly. Of course, I don't believe Bill Clinton is smart enough to NOT say such a thing in public either.

Why are we still debating what was said over 2 years ago? Quit trying to place blame, it won't change anything. And honestly, just because it's written doesn't make it the truth, now does it?

Because he didn't?

Because a republican was holding a gun to his head?

Because W paid him to read the fictional CIA report?

Because he was being sarcastic?

You choose.
