WOW... well basically, Aquaman, Cyborg and Impulse were all one-shot guest stars until last night. Each was featured in a single episode and Clark met each of them and learned of their powers. Oliver Queen (Green Arrow) has been a regular this season and has been a rival of Lex Luthors since boarding school (revealed earlier this season).

33.1 is a LuthorCorp experiment named after the floor it had been on at one of their facilities (the elevator took them to floor 33.1), but has since been moved, and is being established at many other facilities as of last night's episode. Basically it's a testing/experiment with many people with freakish powers (think former Smallville villans who were taken to Belle Reve after Clark dealt with them) as well as many other unknowns. Luthor (Lex or Lionel, take your pick) is trying to figure out how they get certain powers so they can create an army of powered folks or maybe even give themselves power.

Also, Johnathan Kent was elected state senator in Kansas, had a heart attack that night, and died. Martha took over his seat and is now in the Kansas State Congress. Clark, Chloe and Lana all appear to be college drop outs, though Chloe landed a job at the Daily Planet. Lana is carrying Lex's baby, though she will always love Clark. Chloe is dating Jimmy Oleson and as of last night Lois left Oliver Queen due to his secrecy and putting her on the back burner.

Braniac was around for most of last season, posing as a professor at Clark's university, and then tried to bring back Zod, but died in doing so. Zod (in Lex's body) banished Clark to the phantom zone, but he escaped with the help from another Kryptonian who studied under Jor-El. When Clark escaped the phantom zone, other "zoners" escaped too, so Clark feels the responsibility to round up those zoners who are wreaking havoc around the globe.

Oh, and Braniac is probably still alive, but it hasn't been confirmed. We also saw a character help Clark vanquish a Zoner who turns out to be the Martian Manhunter.

Let me know if you have more questions.

33.1 is the latest plot of Lex's to unknown goals.
Lana is engaged to Lex, and pregnant from him too.
Green Arrow was introduced this season.
Cyborg and Aquaman last season in seperate episodes.
Impulse was fourth season.
Only Green Arrow was a recurring charactor, the others were 1 episoders.
If you are familiar at all with DC comics, Cyborg is half man, half robot, made from a dying athelete and Lex's technology.
Aquaman is the exiled prince of Atlantis (duh).
And Green Arrow was the closest charactor they could find to Batman and Bruce Wayne, since the legal rights were out of their reach.
Martian Manhunter has made some appearances. Zod possessed Lex. Clark freed a bunch of "phantoms" (think uber-powered meteor freaks) when he escaped the phantom zone. Anything else...I recommend buying the dvd'd, all but the present season are available.

lana decides to depart lex. She is going to Clark and tells him, and hes excited yet she says she cant stay with him. He tells her hi secret. She tells him y she didnt marry him, so he is going to kill lionel yet he unearths out that lionel is definitely posessed by using jorel and he had lana marry laex so she coudl get info some phantom that lex replaced into monitoring. the phantom took area of clarks dna and is now a stornger version of clark. Lana died in an explosion. Lois tried to sneak right into a buildign and have been given stabbed mutually as interior, Chloe went to shop her and located otu what ehr powers have been, healign ones. She saved lois wbut it knocked her out. So now there are 2 clarks and that replaced into the top of the episode
