Thanks for the answers folks, the reason I asked is that no where on the minwax can does it have any temperature recommendations, I even went to the minwax web site and it had no recommendations either.

I have found that the ideal is 60 to 80 degrees F.

Different manufactures have different recommendations. Read their advise on the side of the can. It is usually quite good.

You want it to be at least 55 degrees or the poly will not dry correctly. I found that it works best around 70 degrees, it wont dry to slow or to fast.
