Science is a boon to the human society, With the development of the advanced technology it is helping human beings to lead a better life and better expect ency of life. More of happiness, better understanding of humans of different regions on the earth, and shrink ed the world to a smaller part, like a big village. it is also helping the old, handicaps and the patients to live with less pains and aiding them in all possible aspects. The development of the technology is helping us know many of the unknown worlds and explore them for the betterment of humanity.
Science is becoming a bane as some of the bad elements minds infected with terrorism and dissatisfaction are using them for the destruction of the humanity on a pretext of power.
In all science is a boon only as where ever there is a good there is also bad, the bad can be overcome with sincere efforts.

Science is simply a way of thinking. It can be neither a boon or a curse. Is thought a boon or a curse?

The stockopile of nuclear weapons is sufficient enough to destroy our planet many times over. Any nuclear accident results in a serious health and environmental threat. On the other hand Science has been harnessed for many beneficial purposes. With the aid of Science man has conquered over time, distance and space. Nuclear Science can be used for peaceful purposes also. Every Scientific discovery is a matter of religious insight. In the words of Edison success is one per cent inspiration and ninety nine percent perspiration. Isn't every scientific invention or discovery a success. Truly every scientific endeavour for a good and noble cause is a success. There is no denial in the fact that Science is a blessing and not a curse.

Science is neutral. The way you use is can be a boon or a curse.
If one use of science seems a curse to us, for someone out there it can be a boon.
Gone is the age of steam. We are now in the age of hydrogen bombs and electricity. The most fantastic dreams of H.G. Wells in his novel Dream have come true. Thus, in this space age, where the wonders of science excel the wonders of nature, science affects our day-to-day life. Science has surpassed the old miracles of mythology and yesterday's faith has proved to be today's superstition in the crucibles of science.
Yet the problems is whether science is a boon or bane to society. Science is truth, truth is beauty and beauty is god. Science nurtures intelligence but leaves the will and emotions uncared for. It is said that knowledge comes but wisdom lingers. Science triumphs in automating processes but now it reigns over man. Automation is the order of the day. The spectre of war and destruction haunts the world and nobody is safe. Controlling scientific knowledge with moral judgment may be a solution to this dilemma. Audiovisual appliances annihilate times and distances. Science is the handmaid of modernity. But more valuable than these concrete achievements is the spirit of science. Science means systematised knowledge. It finds the causes of phenomena and works through observation and experiments. Science is the torchbearer of civilisations.
Is science really a bane? It is said that science is a good servant but a bad master. As religion is a matter of faith, science is a matter of fact. Modern warfare is destructive beyond the wildest dreams of our unscientific predecessors. Machine guns, shells, submarines, the atom and hydrogen bombs can destroy the world in the twinkling of an eye. Aeroplanes in war act as engines of mass destruction. Not only in times of war but in times of peace also man lives in the midst of disease. Though cures are being invented diseases are multiplying too. If the former is in arithmetic progression, the latter is in geometric progression. That is why peace lovers blame science as a curse.
It is said that mathematics makes men subtle and history makes men wise. Likewise, science whets the human intellect. It supplements him with astute knowledge and adds to his comforts. It should be refined by the philosophy of love, by a desire to tolerate others and then man will be able to avert the evil effects that may follow from the misuse of science. An integrated educational pattern, which makes the scientist aware of his social responsibilities may be the panacea to the present pandemonium.
Its positive effects thus far far outweigh the negative. The invention of the wheel, for example, was at one point in time, a huge scientific advance for the human species. With no scientific advances humans would be crapping in the forest and sleeping in caves, with no written or spoken language.

This question is lame and senseless, i remember writing essays on this topic when i was a kid. It's just a stupid topic. Like saying that ur nose is essential 4 u 2 breathe but in a way does block ur vision. What can be done about the advantages of science and it's dissadvantages? Everything comes at a price
