Take him to court and or if your having money problems, then wait till he takes you to court for full custody and if you are going to let him have the baby. Then agree under certain conditions, that you can have the baby on the weekends and holidays.

You need to petition the court for visitation rights... you will be given a court date where you can state your case and show proof of your sobriety. Even though you are a recovered addict, you should still be attending outpatient rehab and/or a support group. If you are not, they may hesitate giving you visitation rights in fear of relapse. Also, you should show that you are working a steady job and saving money. Your have been absent from your child's life for a year so keep in mind it will be an adjustment for him/her. Good Luck!

the fact is that no count number how sturdy your intentions are there is little if some thing you may do to help him. i'm a recuperating alcohollc. and besides the undeniable fact that i'm no longer a drug addict the restoration procedure is a lot a similar. the in reality ingredient you could quite to is to no longer enable him. He must have the favor to provide up on his own. even as that takes position he can likely get better. yet, you should no longer deprive your self of a sturdy existence for his sake. after I say this, i do no longer mean you should throw him to the dogs and assure his failure, yet you quite no longer do some thing to enable his drug use. If it ability no longer seeing him, it truly is what it ability...it truly is a demanding highway, and he absolutelty has no idea what result it truly is having on you or him or others. he's the in reality one which could hunt down help, and he gained't do it till he's waiting. you could tell him what help is obtainable, yet back, it quite does no longer count number, he will in reality get help even as he's waiting... i understand this can sound harsh besides the undeniable fact that it truly is the reality. I actually were sober for 5 years, yet understand you will be able to do it yet me. The extra human beings hounded me the added I drank..His challenge isn't a lot distinct. obviously, he's grateful that you got here back, yet that in reality provides him temorary alleviation and the sensation issues are ok back. yet, reality is except he receives help he won't be able to attempt this. He won't be able to do it on my own, and also you don't be able to help him.

Some things just go with the territory.
Noone said it was going to be easy.
the light at the end of the tunnel depends on how much you are prepared to invest in your own rehabilitation.
