My sister is a bad person, she makes me feel guilty for things that I don't do and always makes me feel like crap. How do I keep her out of my life and my space but keep her in my life for the sake of my 10month old nephew. Please help me!!!!

Tell her to say out of your personal business with no offense

I would talk to your sister... Your sister says those things because she loves you and she cares about you. If she didn't she wouldn't waste her breath. If you don't' agree with her, then don't let her get inside your life. dont tell her details about your life. But talk to her about things that won't bring on an argument. LIke your nephew for example.

I'd suggest being real with her. Use your "feeling" words (yeah, corny but it works with mean people). Tell her that when she says things like xxx (use specific examples) it makes you feel hurt, frustrated, bad about yourself, etc. Then tell her what you want. "I need you to think about what it is you say to me, I need you to stop telling me what to do, etc. because I want to be in my nephew's life." Mean people respond pretty well to directness and specifics. Good luck!

Like I do to my sister who is the same way...intervals. Or, if, she lets you take the baby out for awhile, you can give her a "break" and spend some quality 'uncle time'.

talk to her about how she makes you feel, ask her why she does this and tell her if she can't stop making you feel bad then you don't want to see her till she can treat you better.
