a double would die in his place for many reasons (to save his family, or somehow like a suicide bomber)

I think it may be better if we all choose to believe Saddam was hung.
Then let him get on with his retirement in peace.

What is it with you people that keep bringin up saddam hussein. Do you hope he's still alive? HE'S DEAD. Spell that out D-E-A-D. Now say that in your head 15 or 20 times and maybe you'll get over it already. You're probably one of those loose screws that think the cgovernment was involved in 9/11 also. Get over it, He's dead.

Rest assured that it WAS Saddam that was executed.
I am reliably informed that he was the Guy standing on the gallows. Most of his doubles are either in the West or are in Jordan having finally been released from their curse.

Imagine the conspiracy if we didn't get to see the video. I know you don't like it, but Saddam is DEAD, DEAD, DEAD and the Kurds who actually get the democracy thing in Iraq are thankful they will no longer have to expirience biological weapons. Kuwait is no longer in fear of a Dictator taking over their country.
