Most people don't have a sense of humor for things that make them think or question. Nothing you can do about that.

Well, unless I know what your sense of humour is like I can't say for sure, but the only person I know who has a repellent sense of humour was someone who constantly made jokes at other peoples' expense; he couldn't resist the chance to poke fun at someone and gave the impression of being spiteful. Are you like that?

I don't know. Are you offensive when you try to be funny? Is your humor targeted at certain groups of people but is derogatory (racism, homophobic, against fat people)?
Didn't give much details as to your type of humor, but I am assuming you are not very nice.

i had that problem, but it was mostly people that didn't know me. a sarcastic form of humor, if you don't know the person or don't know if they are joking can come across sounding rude and hurtful.
I just let poeple know that i am joking and thats my way and they get used to it and join in.
It's just how you say it. And how they think you are saying it.

Way too many people take things very literally. I often see questions and responses that are obviously jokes, and it never fails a "Are you serious?" is asked.
