I was unaware that it was considered a social science. I know Phi Beta Kappa does not consider it as such. I am fairly certain it falls into a different category.

Accounting is not considered a social science but a technical one.

Accounting does not deal with people, only with goods.

Perhaps you are confused with Economy, which is a social science because is about the conduct of people about producing, working, buying, selling, saving, etc.
