William Petersen (Grissom) is doing a play or something. Don't worry. He'll be back.

that was the guy from Scream. the last new episode before last night, they said that Grissom was going off on a teaching sabbatical. hopefully he'll be back! the show isn't the same without him!

The actor who plays Grissom in real-life has hearing loss problems so he can't work as much.

The actor's name is Liev Schreiber and he was in the Scream movies. From what I read William Petersen just left to do a play but he is returning to the show.

Yes, he is from Scream.
Grissom will return on Feb 8th. He is doing a play. They did an interview with him on ET. He gave the details. He does not have hearing loss problems. That was part of the show, something his character delt with.
