Won't shut me up, I'm not really into jewelry.
Come to think of it though, if someone would buy me a diamond, I think I'd be speechless. Only for a few seconds, though.

only until the shock of actually getting the diamond wears off, then it is back to whatever you were trying to get to stop in the first place......it worked once and it will now work all the time!! catch 22 situation here!!

Judging from the number of women that I've heard say "he better get me a ring!" or the ones who cut out pictures of jewellery and leave them in their bf/ husbands wallets...I would say yes, definitely but not permanently.
