It was the best money I ever spent. The whole procedure lasted 15 minutes and my vision is now perfect. The only discomfort I experienced was when they placed the fixture onto your eyeball to keep the eye open. My eyes openings are small and my eyes are kind of set back deep (a bug-eyed person would have no problem) so it was briefly uncomfortable for me.

one of my neighbors did laser surgery in San Francisco before it became a trend. She had very thick glasses and the doctor was afraid she might get a detached retina so it was vital to get this done. She said she laid on a table and the set up took forever.. but the actual operation took like a millisecond.. just one pop and it was done. .then they did the other eye. When she left she was 20/40 when she went back for the check up the next day she was 20/20 she has been this way for at least 8 years. Oh and she said it stings for a few minutes but it goes away quickly.

My sister had this and the 1st day - like right after on the drive home her eyes were very sore and sensitive to light - and she was a little sore the next day.

IT was SOOOOOOO worth it for her to get this done. She had to have one of those alarm clocks with 3" numbers to see the time while laying right next to it and now she can use a regular clock - soooooooo worth it! And yes she would do it all over again.

Lasik and Laser eye surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her dental implants and lasik surgery in India by a company called Forerunners Healthcare. The Price for dental and lasik surgery is very less in India. She paid 25% of the price she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India They arrange Dental surgery, jaw surgery, lasik eye surgery, Dental Implants etc for foreign patients in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines- about their patient stories.
They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low cost, as dental and eye surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

Me and a guy at work were just talking about it. Neither one of us as ever heard someone regret getting the procedure done. I would like to do it. I wish my insurance would cover some of the costs of it though. The price is still a little steep for me now.

It does not hurt during or after. It was very effective for me. It has been 2 years and I still don't need reading glasses or any other type.
