She needs to see her Doctor and tell her parents. How much bleeding, clots, and a very "heavy" flow ? Are you sure its her "period,or could she be pregnant? Is the pain severe and what "kind" cramping, sharp, or intermittent ? The Doctor needs to sort this out. Take care. SW RNP

It could be. Maybe she needs a doctor. Especially if there is a lot of blood and it's coming out fast. In that case, maybe she needs the ER. Notice what is happening. Does she need your immediate help? If so make a decision.

Perhaps she should get checked out by the doctor, it's hard to say as we don't know if she is sexually active (could be a miscarriage in that case) or it could just be a very heavy period.

Normal to have cramping and bleeding during a period, she will have it for many years to come so this is something she will have to get used to.

It means she had better see a Dr. PRONTO. Abnormal bleeding accompanied with a lot a pain says something is wrong and needs to be diagnosed. Get her to go and take her if you have to!
