gays are sensitive? they tell on people? what?! isaiah called tr a f*ggot in october 2006 and it went away but HE brought it back up during the golden globes by interrupting the creator during the interviews. during the incident in october, he also choked patrick dempsey.. he got physical. if not for using this anti-gay slur, fire him for crossing the line with patrick dempsey.
during the civil rights movement, the african americans didn't just sit there and let people call them the n-word, why should gays just sit there and let it slide with the word f*ggot? tr did not "tell on" isaiah. tr didn't go to the media until recently when isaiah DENIED saying the word when the entire cast/crew heard him. to fire isaiah isn't going too far, he crossed the line more than once.. besides, he's not even that good on the show imo.
so don't make the gay community seem pathetic and "crying for an apology." when mel/michaels made their racial slurs, the jew and black community got on their cases and no one said the jews or blacks were "crying for an apology" or were "sensitive." and what's wrong with gays wanting equality? i don't understand why it would be wrong.. they're humans too.

Did Washington lie? That's the only question I cared for a bit. Like Heigl said, he probably didn't mean what he meant to say. I didn't think the gay activists need to be involved, because everybody knows or at least most of us in the modern world already know that what he did was wrong. They're a "family", Washington is a member that made a mistake, so I hope he learns something big out of it, and they work it out. Because man, I'm not ready to see a missing cast on Grey's Anatomy.

It's not about punishing anyone--it is about having humanity and respecting people . Isaiah Washington should have known better as being a black man in society--what would have happened and what would your reaction have been if one of the actor's yelled out "I didn't call him a n*****."
I have a great place in life being born a white, middle class female--I know that and am thankful for it. I know life would--in this society--be much harder if I was born of another race or sexual preferance.
I personally am happy about the "crying for an apology"--it shows society is becoming more accepting of differences--I believe that no one should judge anyone--
I was totally just so disunheartened by the fact I love the show "Gray's Anatomy" and the one thing we all whom watch it can say that we don't look at the character's based on race or gender--it was a show where you see a human for themselves--I have never watched it saying--well there is a "black guy with an asian woman"--or Wow the Head of the hospital is a "Black" man and the female doctor in charge of 5 white interns is black. It was a show where it portrayed life as it should be no racial/gender bounderies.
Mr. Washington has tarnished that by calling T. R .Knight a word to gay people is as bad as the n word is to black people.
I don't believe it's a gay activist thing--I just hope our society is becoming more accepting of people. Like I said I am a heterosexual, white female and I was appalled. As I was with Michael Richards.

I think an apology and him seeking "help" is fine enough. In recent months Michael Richards (Seinfield), Mel Gibson,
Mark Warner (VA governor) and many other celebrities have made racial slurs against African Americans, Jews, Hispanics.
We can't rake people over the coals for their bad judgments all we can do is hope that they will see the hurt that they have caused and change. I hear racial slurs about African-Americans
Hispanics, and Jews all the time-and I realize that people are not always told that this is wrong and acceptable. Many people are hidden racist-they say things behind close doors. Isaiah said it and I just don't think he was man enough to admit it. He should apologize-seek help and move on. I think the one thing -that hasn't been addressed in this whole thing (Gay advocacy) is religion/religious beliefs. Unfournately alot of people were raised
in churches that homosexuality is wrong. Just like premarital sex
is wrong, or cursing ---if you believe and go by the bible. I think
gay advocates/ and organizations need to work w/ churches
and religious groups to teach tolerancy/respect. I know that I went to Catholic school and grew up in the Methodist church
and it was always spoken against. But in the real world I work w/ and know gay people--I don't judge them it's their decision and their life-so if we're going to be a more liberal society then we need to educate and become more accepting-That's where gay groups need to start educating people.

I feel that Isaiah should stay on the show. What he said has nothing to do with the show. If you were to remove him, my friends and I would choose not to watch. It just wouldn't be as interesting. Everyone on this earth, at some point in time, has said something we shouldn't and that maybe caused pain. TR Knight made a choice to come out. I could care less what his sexual preference is. I also don't need the heterosexual community behind me. I don't need them to cry for an apology either. Isaiah has apologized many times already. He can't change what has already happened. TR, gay or not, accept the man's apology and please try to act like a man! Why don't they quit trying to make you heterosexual on the show? Think you would be more comfortable in a roll that is closer to your choice, as a gay man? I wonder Mr. Knight, have you ever used the N word????

Yes, people do respond like this, and worse!! Washington seems to have a problem with Knight. But it is not clear if Washington has a problem with Knight because he is gay, or if they just have personality conflicts.
The real problem is that Washington said it publicly. Although this country may appear to be liberal and accepting, it is not. It is still a very conservative country and most people are not pro homosexuality.
The network (because of public pressure) is forced address this issue. Once the public threatens to boycott a show, advertisers may pull out, and they are the ones who pay the bills. Without them, there is no show at all.

when you are a celebrity... u need to behave...and if you don't we will all know about it.
So that is why everyone responds like that to his stupid comment. He knows better.
I dont think it is going to far (the gay activists) , and also Im confused why you think gay activists should not "gain ground on there fight for equality"
did you think things are equal for them? I am repulsed by our countries inability to give gay people the same right that heterosexuals have. Your sexual orientation should not matter...and since in our country it does the "gay activist should keep on fighting.....
none of the celebs that have been saying racial slurs should be saying any of this because they know it will be publicized.
saying the n word.....
or stupid jewish remarks...
or fat comments towards rosie odonell from donald trump....
or negative words for being gay are just really (for an adult to say) such an idiotic small minded type of response

Yes, I believe they would be. I think it is wrong to use any ugly names such as the N word or the Fag word; especially when you work with people every day. I am sorry the incident happened at all, and as Ellen De Generes pointed out, we need to learn to respect each other. My true feelings are they would have been much harder on T.R. Knight had he used the n word but I do not believe he would have used that word. Just my feelings though. Anyway, I love both of them as actors and Isaiah is hot. I think Isaiah just got upset about something and it came out and then the whole thing got blown up. I think if had not started up the whole thing again, they would not have sent him to " rehab." Anyway..... as I said, I like them both as actors.

he should know what it is like to be called names. It puts him in a place that he should know better. If he would have just done it the one time then it would have just gone away. But he just keeps flameing the fire. I'm thinking that he doesn't like his job that much and should be fired. Let's see mel gibson made his apologies and it was left at that. People turn a blind eye to the gay community because theyu aren't taken seriously they have feelings to.
