I really don't see how wanting equal rights under the law is pushing their agenda on us. If gays were coming up to us straight people and forcing us to watch gay porn, then I'd agree that they were pushing their agenda on us. But I don't see anyone doing that. All I see is people wanting to have equal rights. I'm straight, and I wouldn't want to be in a same sex relationship, but it's none of my business if others want to!

1diputs, none of those things affect me personally, but they do harm others. Pedophilia, and bestiality are forms of rape and abuse because children and animals cannot give consent. Incest is forbidden because it produces babies with severe deformities and retardation.
Prostitution is illegal because it victimizes women.

Thank you for your support!
It's an untenable position, and the homophobes know it. That's why they can only back it up with backward logic, claiming gays want special rights.
When in fact, it is straight people that currently enjoy special rights. They have the right to marry the person of their choice, and I do not.
They normally fire back... well, NO ONE can marry a person of the same sex, so it's equal! Well, to such people who like to reduce social issues to word games, I say, when gay marriage becomes legal, EVERYONE will be able to marry a person of the same sex, so it will STILL be equal.
Speaking of backwards logic, I've yet to have it explained to me HOW gay marriage will weaken marriage as an institution. More people getting married who WANT to get married? It seems clear that would do nothing but strengthen marriage as an institution.
And this nonsense about gay people shoving our "lifestyle" in straight people's faces? Come ON. Do you hypocrites know how many straight sex/love/marriage "lifestyle" images the average gay person is subjected to in a day? THOUSANDS.
From rings on fingers to kissing in public to selling literally ANY product or service on TV, billboards, magazines with promises of straight sex... it can't be avoided! And you don't see us complaining about it, do you?
So when you see my girlfriend and I walking down the street holding hands, just take a deep breath and go back to watching your boy-meets-girl romantic comedy with your date.
Homophobes, build a bridge and GET OVER IT.
Live and let live.
The pursuit of happiness is for all Americans, not just the ones you approve of.

The day a civil union is all heterosexuals can enter into i will take it fortunately yet till then i might decide to leave my infants, homestead, existence coverage, and property to my significant different while not having to write down a living will to do it. Its not sturdy sufficient a million. because of the fact it leaves out MANY rights, and a pair of. it makes us all sound like we are under human for something that we actually can not help.

Thank you!!
It's not about "gay rights" as phobes like to think. It's about "equal rights". Gays are not asking for anything more than what straight people already have. However, bigots love to spew otherwise.

Well said. Mutually enjoyable activities between consenting adults in the privacy of their own home are no one Else's business. Human rights are every ones.

I agree with you :-)
I think who you fall in love with is your business and no one elses..
Only you, yourself really knows what makes you happy.... to listen to other people can make you miserable if its all the wrong advice. It doesn't really matter how well they know you... you still know whats best for yourself.

As you can see some other like to link unrelated things to the issue to attempt to justify their very weak position.

If same sex marriage were legalized, we would pay out the nose for taxes. Everyone would be married just for the tax breaks. People who favor same sex marriage only want to appease the self-centered, loud mouthed gays.
