Very original question, there, Lottie.
I'll give an equally original answer--
I often stop to think, start thinking and fly so far afield in my thoughts that I forget what started the whole damned thing.
I meant to give a moment's thought to dinner, considered Mexican, thought about a news item I'd seen regarding Mexico, then about how similar it was to something that happened a while back in India, which reminds me of how much I like Ravi Shankar, which reminds me of the Beatles, which reminds me of John Lennon on the front of the very first issue of "Rolling Stone" magazine, which makes me think of how blatantly commercial that once-rebellious rag has become...
...with the result that wondering what to have for dinner ends with me cursing Jann Wenner.
