NOT TENNIS SHOES! For your first day it's fine but I seriously suggest hip hop shoes or jazz shoes. Tennis shoes are horrible for dancing in! You can move very well in them. You can buy them at any dancing store or you can order off of www.discountdancer.com I go there all the time their prices are very reasonable! Good Luck!

For Hip Hop, you can wear track shoes or sneakers or tennis shoes.
*Do not wear Jazz shoes for Funk.
