I'm a traditional Brain Tanner in the spare time, meaning I take deer, elk, and other big game and make soft supple leather from it all.
I can take a $70 buffalo hide and turn it into a $1,300 buffalo robe.
I'm cool with fur, and leather.
Should PETA ever try to pour red paint on me... Prepare for a 2x4 up side you noggin.

Now, THAT has got to be on of the best questions this week. It's a class thing. Real easy to rag on the "rich" because they have exactly what the people that vilify them want. Instead of going out and earning it. It is much simpler to degrade them and insult them.
While wearing a leather coat.
They are just wanna be rich people. Losers to use a different term . And hypocrites.

Maybe they figure pouring some A-1 sauce on a pair of leather shoes won't have quite the same dramatic effect as red paint on a white fur coat.

You could also ask those opposed to animal coats, if they have a wood house. They are killing our air supply by doing so aren't they. What kind of decent environmentalists are they?
Also remind them that they wouldn't be here if our ancestors didn't wear animals to survive the ice age.

Possibly. Or perhaps it's because when an animal is killed for its fur, the rest of the carcass is usually wasted (I don't ever remember seeing mink or ermine on the menu in a fancy restaurant, do you?).

I think they don't fuss so much about the leather cause, hey, you're probably eating the cow it came off of.

yep. but also because when you use leather you are making good use of the scraps left of the cow after they are ripped apart for packaging to be sent to supermarkets.
