I am not arrogant. Every realistic Patriot Fan I know still feels like we did before the Chargers game, there is an uncertainty, an uneasiness that the Pat's are going to have a extremely difficult time beating the Colts, just because some sports wacco from New England makes a stupid comment on Yahoo Answers it doesn't mean he speaks for Patriot Nation, let's be real here

I think you're confusing arrogance with confidence.
Pats fans are confident because their team has won 3 Super Bowls in the past 5 years. They're also confident because they've heard so many times in the past that their team is going to lose, only to see them prove yet again why they're always a championship contender.
As for comparing them to the Sox - Vinatieri wasn't traded to the Colts. He left as an unrestricted free agent, and the Pats let him go because they didn't want to pay millions for a kicker when that money could help in other spots on the team. I'm not a Pats fan, but I've learned that Bill Belichick has a pretty good understanding of managing personnel.
I'm not sure who will win this week, but I'm pretty sure Brady and Manning are going to play a more important role than either kicker. And I find it laughable that people call Brady "overrated" - I guess 3 Super Bowls isn't all that impressive, or the fact that he has a 6-1 TD/Int. ratio in those games, or that he twice led them on last-minute drives to win those games. Yeah, he's terrible.

I'm a Patriot fan and I'm not assuming anything. I know we can be beaten. Plus have you seen how many other people are saying that their (insert Saints, Colts, or Bears) are definitely going to beat the other teams? Every fan base has the obnoxious, arrogant ones and then the less obnoxious, less arrogant ones. You just seem to run into the arrogant ones.

1-3 in the AFC Conference Championship. Can't beat the Patriots in the POST-SEASON. Manning Chokes when it counts. IF the Colts move on it is the defense doing it not him. I am not a Patriots fan. Don't care who wins. I'm just saying they have reason to say the Colts can't win.
Hey Eros Manning is on the COLTS, not Patriots.

Not all Pats fans are 'arrogant', it's called be a die-hard fan and loving your team. I have been at Pats fan my whole life and yes I will get pissed off if somone insults my team. I don't think you should say that Pats fans are like that because not all of us are. Maybe you should look up what arrogant means..
I think Confudence would fit the bill here. So wake up and smell the coffee becuase it is the Pat's year and we are going to stomp on the Colts and then do it again for kicks.
GO BRADY!!

i might ought to circulate with the cowboys and for one significant reason: in evaluation to the Patriots followers who talk each kind of trash as do the cowboys, the Patriots team is particularly an extremely solid team. The cowboys are actually not undefeated and the Patriots beat the Cowboys on their turf. often conceitedness is considered incredibly unfounded self assurance, so in lieu of the actuality that the Patriots are nonetheless undefeated, 10 situations greater helpful than the cowboys and function defeated the cowboys you may ought to assert cowboys.

I won't say all are, but the one's I've encountered (live and here) generally seem to fit the arrogent new-englander stereotype (see <-- I said stereotype so I'm not saying everyone is)
I do have a problem w/people (multiple above) saying that they're just confident ------so the Chargers were arrogent and "deserved" the classless act on their field but the Patriots are just confident?
I think YOU'VE got the definitions mixed up.

Let's put it this way- "power corrupts"
While its true they didn't win the S.B. last year, they have a good history in post season against the Colts- thus the power. This Sunday that all ends.

Why would we not think we can win on the road when we are 8-1 on the road this year and have a great QB and coach? It is not cocky or arrogant - more like confident.

"Assuming you are going to beat the Colts on their turf after they arealdy beat you once on yours?"
That's exactly what the Rams said before Super Bowl XXXVI
