If serving in the air National Guard is draft dodging then why do Liberals love Bill Clinton, a true draft Dodger?

Again, how can you expect to equate liberal and logic? They think that it's an attribute that Clinton went to Europe to dodge the draft and smoke marijuana, and it's a detriment that President Bush served in the Texas Air National Guard.

President Bush served honorablly and was given a Honorable Discharge for his Military service. Clinton dodged the draft by going to
England in defiance of orders for him to report
to his draft board and proceeded to bad mouth the USA about the Vietnam War, from England,
while American troops were over there fighting.
He stated several times that he loathed the US
Armed Forces and that is why the military went
downhill while he was president and that is why
President Bush has to spend all of this money
to bring the US Armed Forces back up to speed
in order to fight The Global War On Terror!!!

Yet again it is a silly blame game (in which Dan Rather lost his job) that is played to ignore the stance Clinton had during the same war in which Bush was a member of the Air National Guard.

Lots of people some who went on to public life some who went on to be career criminals dodge the draft. Some refused to fight on principal and actually lost hings (ALI comes to mind his title and briefly his freedom).

My point is who cares in addition to the well know fact that he pardoned Nixon Ford also gave blanket amnesty to all Vietnam draft dodgers, so in the spirit of Ford can we drop it already.

By the way before you go on the attack I participated in both of my generations wars Dessert Storm and this one and don't think dodging hasn't crossed my mind.

Contrary to what you all might think (a few guys I know from Kentucky excluded) no one hates war more than a soldier, because we get to fight them.

Personally I am good at what I do, Just wish you so called anti-war pacifist and diplomats where better at what you did. War by the way is the last stage of diplomacy.

That is the first time I have heard that anyone said Bush was a draft dodger.
Bush was in the national guard but was AWOL.
How was Clinton a true draft dodger?

Clinton admitted he was a draft dodger, Im sure if Clintons parents had the money or the pull he would have served in the National Guard too.

never heard a liberal call the president a draft dodger...but he did dodge going to war. He did. And no matter what any other person has done, doesn't erase that fact. Personal responsibility needs to be brought back to the party!

Funnily enough, at roughly the same time, a Democrat, in a drunken stupor, committed negligent homocide of his adulterous lover and then fled the scene of the crime, and never served a day behind bars (and certainly has never spend a day doing community service!).

Funny what they get selectively outraged about.

Slick,

There is a standard for Dems and one for Republicans.

Surely you knew this.

Clinton is the god to the godless, so whatever he does is magically legitimate.

Bush is the anti-christ, so it doesn't matter if he finds cures to every disease on earth. He will be criticized.

the war was wrong in the first place, and we don't have anything against vietnam draft dodgers. But this one in particular goes around calling himself a war hero.
