I don't really see anything wrong with it. I think they are people too and should have the same rights as heterosexuals do.

I believe that gay people should be able to marry. I think it's a little ridiculous for our government to "play God" and judge gay people. And they say that marriage is holy and it needs to be kept that way...well look at the divorce rate in this country! Who really keeps marriage holy anymore??

I just think it's not our business and it's in no way our place to judge anyone. Who even knows for sure if there's even a "hell" to go to??

I guess my only problem with it is the whole "sacrament of marriage" thing...I'm Catholic, and I think the church needs to come up with another title for marriage if it thinks it can choose who gets it and who doesn't.

I think the lack of visitation rights is an abomination, and we need to come up with some way to give gay couples equal rights in the law. If gay marriage is the answer, so be it, but don't call it sacramental marriage.

No harm in allowing 2 people who love each other get married. It's already legal here and I think that's great, great great. It's not like it's anyones business but the two parties involved.

I think the government should get out of the business of sanctioning marriage altogether, and just allow "civil unions". That would shut up the people who oppose gay marriage on religious grounds, but allow gay couples to have the benefits of civil union (health insurance, death benefits, etc).

I don't see anything wrong with it. I think two consenting adults should be allowed to marry and be guaranteed the same rights as heterosexuals.

yea, of course gay people are PEOPLE too! : )
I think: why shouldn't they be able to marry?!
it wouldn't affect others' way of life, you know?
also, what can be "wrong" with letting two people who LOVE eachother be married to one another?
i see nothing wrong with it at all.
in fact i'm positive that it will all work out in gay peoples' favor.
i see it similar to how blacks and whites weren't allowed to be married together. THAT was evenually overturned, so this should be overturned as well, in the end.
*great question, BTW.

It is wrong. Men are not made to be with men and women are not made to be with women. You can tell that the woman's body & man's body are made physically to fit each other. The bible calls homosexuality abomination. If people of the same sex were supposed to be together (esp. in marraige)then why are there male and female to begin with?

Don't really care one way or the other. I'm for happiness and if that is what it takes, I'm for it. I believe the government needs to spend their time on more worthwhile causes.

It's ridiculous that we even have to ask these questions, isn't it?

Everyone should feel free to love Whomever they choose (with OBVIOUS exceptions...i am not talking about pedophiles) and to not have their relationship scrutinized by the government who bases their moral judgement on a religious text that everyone in this country doesn't even beleive in!!!

That is JUST ridiculous!

This is how I see it: If me & my best friend want to get married, then we should be able to. If we want to have a baby, either one of us, and claim as both of ours, then we should be able to.

Whats really f***ed up is that if one woman in a gay couple has a baby, and that woman dies, the other woman can not keep the child. Even if they raised it.

It's just not fair.
