No. I do not think a man is judged by the actions of his children. Each person is his individual person, and responsible for his/her actions. If they are minor children, it is your responsiblity to direct them in the 'right' way. If they are adult, then they are responsible for what they do.

There are several things in this question that should be pointed.
1. Just because you are married and a good person doesn't make you a good husband. A part of what makes a good husband is being a problem solver. He doesn't suffer he comes up with solutions.
2. That said being a good husband is only apart of what makes a good father. A good father does everything he can to support his children when they get into trouble and leads them to making better decisions as they grow up.
You sound like the kind of man that is looking to duck responsibility. You got some issues that you need to work on.
Get some help so that you can be better for everyone involved.

In some cases, yes. When he takes his vows, he is uniting himself with that woman, they are like one, so to some degree I think he should be responsible. For example, if his wife beats the dog or shoots heroin and he knows about it, he should do something about it. If he does nothing, he is also responsible if the dog dies or the wife OD's. Same goes for the kids.
On the other hand, if he has honestly tried to provide support and guidance to his children and family, he cannot be ultimately responsible for their mistakes (although the law holds him responsible for his minor children).
The catch is here: did he really make the effort? Did he do everything in his power to help said wife/son/daughter to stay on the straight and narrow?

I think that as long as you're doing what is right for you and your family then you're doing all that you can. We can't be held personally responsible for every thing that our family members do. We shouldn't be judged by the actions of others either. Everyone screws up now and then. People need to mind their own business and tend to their own instead of worrying about what others are doing. Keep your head up and to heck with the rest of 'em!!

As head of his household, yes, the responsibility does fall on his shoulders. In the past this was completely understood by society, but with the permissive age we now live in, with it's free thought culture for everyone, men no longer take responsibility for the actions of their families. If we would start holding the fathers accountable, maybe they in turn would start holding their family members accountable, and we would see a measure of correctness return to our culture.

i assume a devoted relation demands greater interest than an uncommitted one if u understand what i propose. yet there r some adult males who realy choose to adventure a married existence. if u r that types then circulate forward 4 it yet u could face problems, although on the different facet of the coin if u see then after being married u get a gal who's truthfully devoted to u and could do something 4 u which isn't obtainable if u.s. single.

Yes. I believe that the husband/father should be the backbone of a family. Therefore, he is responisble for actions taken by his children and wife wether they are bad or good.

No I don't think that men are judged...mostly it's the opposite...If you kids are smart, gay, bad etc. People judge the mother mostly. The mother is, who I think of when I see kids..I don't know why that is...maybe cause never had a father figure....just from my view

Yes, but I think it's all family members. One cannot do something without affecting all...that is the dynamic of a family.

Not really, every one is responsible for his/her own deeds, but yes, you might have to suffer because of what they have done.
