So sorry to hear that your little one died. :-(
If the new one isn't a female, take it back to the pet store (right away). Some females will have the usual squabbles until they establish who's the Boss. ....<:8O)~~~ ....

even as breeding mice, it truly is optimal to appeal to close each little thing and do as a lot study as you likely can. i'd actually help you along with your questions, yet I do wish that you're going to proceed to do study and discover out as a lot concepts on mice as plausible. a number of your questions are quite puzzling to respond to. because you breed, are you able to carry the mother? If no longer then its no longer a sturdy idea to %. up the babies till they are about 2 weeks, it truly is virtually too late to tame a mouse. have you ever sexed youthful mice previously? At that age, its going to be virtually no longer plausible to confirm their sex. for the reason that they are weaned at 3 weeks, it truly is the perfect time. On a woman, the anal and vagina will be closer at the same time than a male mouse. The men testicles wont drop till they are 4-5 weeks previous, so in case you dont understand a thanks to sex them i'd advise calling your vet. Male mice are universal to strive against one yet another, so anticipate them to reveal their dominance and fatalities each now and then. Mice do opt for to reveal the survival of the fittest. If I actually have a small mouse, or a mouse it truly is weak, the different mice WILL attack it and devour it. Mice favor to be fed and watered some cases an afternoon so that they dont turn to different mice as quickly. i wish that you've seperated the father and mom already, if no longer then your lady is per chance already pregnant. With mice, they can reproduce 1000's of undesirable mice in a years time. Be waiting for injuries and inbred mice. it truly is going to ensue with time in case you're unexperienced. i wish that you're breeding for yet another purpose than only promoting them for nutrition because you'll in no way make income because the fee of nutrition and bedding. only save this in recommendations.

mice are like dogs, cats, people...a male has a 'sack'. if the area 'down there' isn't enlarged, it's prolly a female, unless it's a very young mouse that you can't tell, I'm guessing it should be old enough to tell. and just like dogs and cats, also sociall animals, they're not always going to get along. If they are fighting hard, separate them, if you can tell the difference between this and getting to know each other.....leave them together....it will take time to get used to each other!
