It seems that the experts are split when it comes to whether Becks is good or bad for the MLS. I have been a Beckham fan since his shaved-head "most hated man in England" days, so I have a hard time being unbiased. What do you guys think and why?

Him siging with the LA Soccer team has nothing to do with Soccer. It is all just a publisity stunt for him and Posh. They haven't been metioned in the US in a while so they went to LA. This is the S#!T I hate about sports. Nothing is real any more. It is impossible for spectators to have "favorite" athletes, because players switch teams and chase the money so much that it is impossible to keep up with.
Look at the two most recent baseball HOF inducties, Cal and Tony. Both played for the same team their entire career. You will never see that with anyone these days. All of this also makes it impossible to have rivalries anymore. Because players can't "hate" another team like the old days, because that team may be the high bidder next year.
Sports have gone down hill and will continue on that spiral. It is unfortunate for fans these days.

i think that MLS remains an elephant graveyard until they sign some young guns like Torres,Messi,etc. Beckham is not a player that would make a difference in the game...he is not a play-maker.I like Beckham, he`s style, the fact that he is still married w 3 kids..but i think Beckham moving to hollywood is the worst decision he ever made.I think they`re gonna divorce and its only down-hill from there..especially being friend w that tom cruise............America and its money the root of all bad things
