Women become pregnant by having sexual intercourse with a man. That means he puts his sex organ in yours and leaves sperm that can make you pregnant. So if you are going to have sex and do not want to get pregnant use birthcontrol or condoms for the man. Birth Control pills do not prevent sexually transmitted disease, so use a condom as well.

You need to talk to your mother about this. If she thinks you are old enough to know, then she will tell you. You shouldn't ask a bunch of strangers on here, it's hard telling what kinds of answers you will get. If you can't talk to your mother, then find another trusted adult to talk to, like an aunt or a school councilor.
