Do you have a CD or DVD burner?
If that warning is serious, then you should burn your files (e.g. My Documents and My Pictures) to CD or DVD ASAP. It might mean that your hard drive is about to fail.

I would have to say that the issue here has got to be related to the onboard ROM Controller ship. This chip is preset at the factory. When the chip is sent to Singapore for embedding onto the controller board, it is then FLASHED. Then and only then will the drive be seen over 32gb. Even if you have 10000 platters in that HDD. Now when the drive is installed into an older machine, a program called a Drive Overlay is used to allow the PC to see the extended storage areas. So my guess is that either that Controller Chip needs to be reflashed using the flash utility available through Samsungs site. You can also obtain the Drive Overlay there as well. If this issue still seems to be a problem, I'd flash my CMOS/BIOS next (that flash tools ahould be available on the Motherboard Mfrs. site). Finially, You should be running an 80 conductor IDE cable unless you are using an SATA2 drive which won't accept a standard IDE/EIDE cable.

Do you have a spare computer? I suggest that you get your problematic hard drive out, (if you don't know how, have an expert do this), connect the hard drive to your other computer, then copy all your important files on it.
After copying all necessary files return the drive to your pc (note: turn off your pc if you connect or remove harddrives), put in your Dell System Recovery CD then boot it.
If you are under dos mode, run chkdsk to check your disk and allow chkdsk to correct it.
If your system won't still boot properly, reinstall Windows XP.
If everything else's fail, contact dell.

Never heard of that. Sounds like a virus got in there to me. Some viruses are harmless and may say things like, you have been broken into by so and so. Just an annoyance. Run a virus scan. If nothing else, if you can get on then call the support desk AFTER you run the virus check.
