weight and weather is another question, would think approx 35- 40mpg would be achievable

depends on if its well serviced on wind conditions, but also how many miles you do as you might only have done .5 of a mile you didn't say how far and what type of roads, on a motorway you should average 50+, around town 25+.

Hi, If you are in top gear on a flat road with no head wind on a regularly serviced bike you should be getting at least 45-50mpg,that is what i get out of mine!.
