I know that you can go awhile being 2cm dilated. I was just curious to see when people went in to labor after they were told that.

I was 2cm dilated for 3 weeks and was finally induced 2 days after my expected due date =(. Hang in there!

I was 2 with my 1st daughter for about a week and then induced but with my other 2 I was dilated to 2 1/2 and 3 and they were both with in a day or 2. Usually the internal exam they give around that time helps alot. How exciting, good luck!

I was dilated 3 cm for 3 months! Preterm labor.... My second pregnancy I was only dilated 1 cm until the day I actually delivered. My sister just delivered her third baby on Sunday and was dilated 2 cm for the last two weeks. I think it is the efacement that matters most before you actually go into labor. With my 2nd pregnancy, I was dilated to 2cm for a month. With my 3rd, I didn't dilate at all, had to be induced, then once I hit 2, it was very very quick after that. A couple of hours. So good luck, be patient and congratulations. : )

with my first, I walked around for over a month at 1 to 2 cm dilated. with my second, I was induced becuase of VERY high blood pressure and went from 0 to ready to go in about five hours. Now, on my third I'm at 35 weeks and have yet to even have w twinge "down there". But certainly ready to have the baby and get it over with.

I know this is not what you wanna hear but I was 2cm dilated a hole month before I actually delivered. everyone changes differently, you might wanna try having sex it's a prov-en fact that sperm soften you cervix and makes it easier to dilate all so do a lot of walking good luck!

I was 2 cm dilated at 6months and i went 2 months before the doc said it was normal and then i went into early labor and had to have an emergency c-section, but don't panic

I was at 4 cm at 32 weeks and then nothing untill 2 days before my due date my water broke. Labor still did not start so I had to be induced.

Well I went to the doctor on a Wednesday, and I wasn't dilated at all.He said it could be up to 2 more weeks. But then the next day my daughter was born!!
