From the LAST day of your last period, count 14 days and this is the day that you are receptive to conceive. Good news is that sperm can live in your body for 5 days. So in other words; from the last day of your period at 9 to 14 days, you can conceive. Dont lose hope. Look at it this way : out of 30 days, there are only 5 that you can conceive. GOOD LUCK!! * I had a problem with my pregnancy that had all to do with when I conceived. I researched it then.

The best time to conceive is during ovulation.
(Don't listen to the people that tell you when you ovulate because ovulation time is different for every woman.)
There are three methods to chart your fertility pattern. These three methods are the temperature method, the cervical mucus method and the calendar method. You can use all three methods or just one, the choice is yours.
For more information, visit the website below.

Also, a good book on the subject of fertility is 'Taking Charge of Your Fertility' by Toni Weschler. This is basically the Bible for women who wish to conceive.

Give one or all of the three methods a try and read the book I've mentioned. If you still haven't conceived after a few months, it would be best to speak with your doctor for his/her professional opinion. Be sure to show your doctor the charts during your visit.

And as far as position, there really isn't a certain one but it is best to lay flat for a few hours after intercourse, this allows the majority of sperm to reach it's destination.
Good luck!

Try them all and often. Don't stress about it, just have fun with it... a couple of times a day.
