You guys are giving simple answers. You don't know what country she lives in, therefore you can't tell her to run to the police. Stay calm and try to keep things calm as best you can. In the mean time Google your question with respect to the country you live in. You have to be more specific with this type of question and realize just how important it is.
If the police and family, or shelters are not an option: Do you have any relatives in a different country, or friends or anything that can financially help you: Think and plan while being as quiet as you can.
Your objective is to find some cash through help and quietly devise a plan to get the kids and you out while your husband isn't home. If he is dangerous enough to come after you than you must make sure you have enough cash and must be able to contact someone to help you make your moves.
It may take a while, but you must plan an escape, fullproof.

You can file for divorce because of infidelity (ground to be granted one without his cooperation, talk to a lawyer) I'd call the police though, after researching what women he could have done this to and see if they will go forward and help put this sick Bast*** away!!
