Hi,
I have been off b/c pills since Oct 21. What are the chances I am ovulating? I am having regular periods coming about every 32 days since I have been off them. I was on them for about 4/5 years just after I have my 1st daugther, who is now 5.

I also notice my nipples are sore and senstive around the same time each month. I do not really notice much difference in my CM, or ewcm or what ever that stuff is call. But then I never really pay any attention to that stuff when I had my 1st one, since it wasn't a planned one. Now that I have been tyring for a bit it's not happening.

What are the chances I am even ovulating?
THanks

You can ovulate and have no period.
You can have a period and not ovulate.
The only way to find out if you are ovulating is to chart your ovulation.
There are several ways to do this, such as the temperature method, cervical mucus method and the calender method. I use the temperature method but you can choose one that works best for you or you could even use all three.
The choice is up to you.
If 3-4 months have passed and you don't think you're ovulating or are still having trouble conceiving, show your charts to your doctor and he/she will discuss what to do.

Good luck!

I am having the same problem. both of my kids were not planned (5 and 2 year old) Now I been off birth control around the same time you have been and I was only on them for 2 years. Seems like now that we are planning on having a baby its not happening as fast as the first 2. I ovulate a week after my period. I read that when your vaginal discharge increases some that's when your ovulating. my period has been coming on the same day each month so I dont think the pill is fully out of my system. so just give it some time and if it doesnt happen within six months talk to your dr.

I disagree with the above answer. When you are on your period, your body is expelling the unfertilized egg and shedding the lining of your uterus. So to have a period, you would have to be ovulating. About the conception part: From the LAST day of your last period, count 14 days and this is the day that you are receptive to conceive. Good news is that sperm can live in your body for 5 days. So in other words; from the last day of your period at 9 to 14 days, you can conceive. Dont lose hope. Look at it this way, out of 30 days you can only conceive on 5 of them. * I had a problem with my pregnancy that had all to do with when I conceived. I researched it then. GOOD LUCK!!
