i get jealous when my best friend ( of the same sex) pays attention to the opposite sex and she feels the same with me

or are you both simply jealous of the fact that the one is giving of their attention to someone else instead of the other?
you're gay, if you find yourself drifting off thinking what you'd like to do to that smooth body of hers, where you'd like to kiss her...
otherwise you're straight and have a claustrophobic relationship with your best friend.

well it depends..you may be jealous because you are afraid of losing her....now if you feel like kissing her or you are attracted to her i guess that makes you gay.... :)
