Nothing touristy! That's abit common and seems as if you havent made an effort! Best place is on a summers evening with the sun setting whilst at the top of Primrose Hill, Camden and the North Side of Regents Park! This is my favourite place in London, Not filled with tourists! To get there take the tube to Chalk Farm (Northern Line) or the Jubilee Line Stations Swiss Cottage or St John's Wood! All 3 are equaly close! Good Luck! Hope This Helps Sam (A Londoner)

Go to Mayfair; there are loads of clubs. Yes they're expensive but so what? You will have fun and meet some cool people. Have a look online and plan where you're going first so you can call/email to get on the guest list - this will get you a reduced entry fee but won't necessarily mean that you'll get in any quicker. You usually have to do this before 4pm. There are loads of places but if I'm asked to recommend one I'd say Embassy.

But avoid Leicester Square at all costs. It's rubbish and it is way too crowded. All the clubs keep letting people in until you're all crammed in like the Northern Line on a Monday morning.

Try Hoxton, its the new trendy part of London that is full of bars and clubs, its a great night out. Old Street area, EC2.
Or you can try Leicester Square, but it will be very busy, if your willing to queue for a club and wanna pay more then go to Leicester Square, but its quite a good atmosphere round there.

The Slimelight, just round the corner from the Angel station. It's basically alternative, but there's three floors and although you have to find a member to sign you in, there's no booze license so you can bring in your own drink and dance away to your hearts content till 5am on a Sunday morning.

Avoid Leicester Square at all costs - full of tourists, full of muggers, full of pickpocketers. There are loads of other great places off the beaten track that the tourists don't know about - try Fulham, Camden, Clapham High Street etc...

Piccadilly Circus has quite a few cool bars/clubs - Jewel, Tiger tiger are popular places but they do play some cheesy music. Although, Clapham (whitehouse) and Brixton (Plan B) are less tourist populated and play good music.
