One of my best holidays was a few years ago with my (ex) boyfriend. We both don't like to plan things or book in advance. We just decided that we would go by car and picked one city on a European map to start, Pisa (Italy). We toured all trough Tuscany. The coast, mountains, Florence and many other places. I phoned the hotels on the way over there if they had a vacancy. Two weeks from city to city passing little villages. It was great.

My best holiday was at the Melia Hotel in Bali. It was pure luxury. Your own private beach. No children in the resort. Excellent food. Nightly entertainment. Incredibly friendly staff.
We're going back this year.

4 or 5* hotel on beach in Canaries so guaranteed weather but not too far to fly with my husband is pretty perfect for me to be honest. Loved Fuerteventura (Jandia) but very quiet. Try Corsica, it's supposed to be lovely. If not can't beat Orlando for a good laugh.
