the only danger is unwated pergnancy or sexually transmitted diseases/infections. the way around this is to use a condom.
if she is a virgin then the first few times she has sex it might hurt. the first time there will be blood as by having sex the first time her hymen will break. this is normal and nothing to worry about.
if she is not a virgin and is waiting then maybe she has enough self respect not to jump into bed with you right away. the longer she waits the more respect she will gain (generally speaking).
maybe she doesnt see sex as the be all and end all of the relationship. sex isnt everything just 1 part of a big and beautiful bond between 2 ppl.

If it was dangerous, all virgins would be in a lot of trouble wouldn't they. You can have sex once and never do it again as long as you live. Or never have sex ever, for that matter. Having too much sex with too many people is what can be dangerous. There are too many STD's to deal with.

Maybe she doesn't want to get used. No, it's not dangerous for her to have sex. Be happy that she's not easy though. Just wait for her to be comfortable in the relationship. Kudos to her!!! That's how long I waited before having sex with my now, husband when we were dating. He loved it that I didn't just jump into the sack with him.
