I think it depends on what you have now, and how much of an area you are talking about. It would cost a pretty penny to pour a very long or wide driveway, but a small area won't cost much. It may add more curb appeal. However, a well maintained gravel drive with great grass between the drive paths is very adorable next to the right style of house. If you just want a small area, you could use pavers and install if yourself for pretty cheap and it looks nice. If you have mudholes and a non-descript and sparse parking area, you can dress it up and give it identity many ways...but that is the best way to obtain curb appeal. Give the cars their own place and make it a "clean area", it doesn't HAVE to be concrete.

I would get quotes for a few options, then decide if it is worth it to you to have it while YOU live there.

Paving a driveway will add value to your home and property over a period of time. I think it is a good investment. More people look at a home with a paved driveway then a gravel or mud pitted drive. Think also how it will help you over the many years to come in your home. If you have your driveway paved and you maintain it,it should be there as long as you are. Good luck.

I doubt it very much. It "would" increase the value if you had no driveway at all and were putting one in. But if you are replacing and existing one, I doubt if you would recoup your cost when selling.

If there is already a gravel drive then no. If you are putting in a new drive then it will pay you to use concrete.
