It's because he is still small. My daughter is the same way. Sometimes she is so active....it kind of gets annoying at work because I can't concentrate, but then some days....I don't feel her at all. I just asked my doctor this last week. She said the baby is still so small in such a large area still, so some days she is hanging out near the top when I feel everything and some days she sinks back and is probably still moving, but it's less noticable. My doctor said if I get worried I could try a movement check (lay on left side and eat a snack and a cold surgary drink and within 10-20 minutes you should feel movements) but she wasn't worried. She said after about 28-30 weeks....they would be worried if it wasn't every day. Good Luck...hope it helps!
*Today she is a busy baby and must be hanging out on top....man is she kicking and dancing!*

I am on pregnancy number three and I haven't had a pregnancy yet where they were consistently moving everyday at 22 weeks. I am 35 weeks with this one and she didn't start a pattern until around 28 weeks. At 22 weeks there is still too much fluid to feel all the baby's movements.

It may just be his size or how he's positioined. One other thing is that babies sleep too and he may be resting during the day and moving at night when you're asleep. That could be the reason you're not feeling him. My daughter takes it easy in the mornings, but in the afternoon and evening she's all over the place. If you ever worry try drinking something really cold or sweet and give him a few minutes.

That's normal for 22 weeks. You will feel much more as the baby gets bigger. Some days there will be more activity then others.

It probably has more to do with you then him. If you are busy and preoocupied, then it is easy to just not take notice of the movement, on the other hand, if you spend ALL DAY waiting for movement, it may seem like he isn't moving very much. Stop worrying, the baby is fine.

I'm 22 weeks tomoorow too!!! :) Somedays I can feel him a lot and then others I can't. They still have so much room in there to move around because they are still so small. I feel him the most after I eat and lay on my back.

Babies have up and down days just like we do. Some days you will feel your baby a lot, some he will rest especially if you are moving around a lot. Remember, only some of your baby's movements are strong enough for you to feel. They will get easier to feel next month.

It is because he is so small. He probably moves a ton but you don't feel all of them. He is fine.
