Mark my words - "Eventually India will NEVER control the world politics & economy"

Nothing like it if it ever happens= "aap ke muh me Ghee Shakkar " if it happens but it seems more like wishful thinking.

Former US secretary had said that "The most powerful job in the world maybe that of the president of the United states but the most difficult job is that of the prime minsister of India" He said that because of the kind of diversity we have and the kind of balancing actt the politicians have to do which is best described in former prime minister VP singh's words "Managing contradictions". The way cabinets are balanced taking region and caste into account are testimony to this.

Where ecomony is concerned, if infrastructure, labor reforms and rural development( distribution of economic progress to all classes) takes place, it won't be easy to sustain progress.

Normally one hears "Think global, act local". You seem to be going vice-versa. If we are able to manage our own affairs consistently well, we can do very well though I do wish what you say proves true someday-the wheel will come full circle then. India had a glorious past.

I think when that time comes India economy and politics would have been integrated into a huge economic and political bloc in asia. A free trade and one currency bloc.

being over populated isn't the key as u can see ... in the USA some say china is next to control world coz of the one billion population , but that's hearsay ! what controls the world is humanity and good politics ...

I kinda doubt that. Just like what will happen for China when the textile limitations are lifted, if that was in danger of happening there'd suddenly be a big moral campaign about human rights there and people will boycott and the governments will get involved.

Not to mention, the religion has too many taboos to really allow people to succeed on a global scope, kinda like the reason none but the moderate Muslim countries are going anywhere.

Not a chance. India's government is too corrupt, the infrastructure in too much disarray and not robust enough and sectarian and regional differences (read violence) occur to regularly for India to unite well.

I think the above statement with China substituted is much more likely.

It was originally said of Brazil, but is equally valid regarding India: "India is the colussus of the future...and always will be."
