I'm going snowboarding for the first time and need a jacket. I've found a North Face thats quite nice. But is wearing it a lot like "Oh, look at the new guy wearing North Face...ha...ha...ha...!"?
Superficial? Yes, but I can't find any Helly Hansen or the like around here.

No, NorthFace jackets are the best. They are so warm!

if you're cold, who cares.

But if you do care that much. Do something completly off the wall to the jacket, like cut it or spray paint paint it?. How about blasting it with paintballs or a shotgun. Turn the tables on those superficial mountain rich kids!

Most people do wear the brand b/c it's what's in. But if you are going snowboarding then you would be purchasing the jacket for what it's meant for.

Do it.....buy the jacket if you want. You have a good reason to.

North Face makes good products for outdoor activities. Who cares what you wear as long as it serves the purpose you need it for.

It is only a fashion faux paus if you really care what other people think, and you are probably beyond that stage (i would hope) if it keeps you warm and it is functional then i say why not.

I like uggs because they keep my feet warm but I think it's ugly when people where them with ourfits, and spandex leggings is the fashion now which is ugly to.

Wear what fits you and suits your needs (ease of mobility, warmth, flexibility, etc.) If people make comments they're not worth your time and are probably jealous.

Focus on you and your hobby. Don't let negative thinkers bring you down!

HAVE FUN!
