"First Cut Is The Deepest" has never been played by Jim Morrison. The original version composed and written by Cat Stevens was included in P.P. Arnold's debut album "The First Lady of Immediate" released in 1967. Certainly the song was popularized by Rod Stewart.

P.P. Arnold sang The original version of first cut is the deepest in 1967. Rod Stewart covered it ten years later. I don't know if James Morrison recorded a version though.

His album will be available at all music stores across the UK.
