I have a question about Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 ?!?

Question

First, what is the best way to get a bunch of people in the park?
What are some good tips for this game???
I am new to the Tycoon games.....but ive played all the sims games.

Ive completed the first park in the beginner parks section but the other ones are giving me problems....I am still trying to figure out how to raise land.

Any experienced tycoon's out there who can give a beginner some tips.

i start off small, make a large main road that you can branch off of later when you can afford more attractions, first build a simple ride like the scrambler, the one that spins, attach it to the main road, and open the gates, people should start appearing and riding it to go home, then add a drink stall or a food stall, and a restroom, then another ride, and then poeple should start coming more and more, start small so you dont have what happend to that electronics store, i think curcuit city, whare they thought, "hey, were making a lot of money! lets make a boat load of new stores so we can make more money!" and they made this huge chain that couldnt support itself, so it crashed, and now they are hardly anywhare now.
