I would recommend you world of warcraft: Burning crusade (its the new one) just try it you will love it. If you have 360 and have XBOX LIVE then your favourite 360 game is the best online game to play. For example gears of war is a good tactical 3rd person shooter online. Great gameplay and graffics, large online community. If you have PS2 might i suggest Socom US navy seals, Battlefield 2 for PC and if your into strategy games you should try out Medieval 2: Total war, great graffics, awsome online play, and fantastic visiuals, i suggest you play it if you liked the movies Gladiator, Braveheart, Timeline.
Don't play runescape horrible graffics people play it cause they can not afford warcraft. No offense runescape players.

Wold of Warcraft. Over 7 million people play. 2nd best game is Sims. Both are pretty fun but with different types of people playing each.

THE NEW EXPANSION IS AWESOME AND YOU GET TO BE TWO NEW RACES .... BUT THE ONLY DRAWBACK ON THIS GAME I HAVE FOUND SO FAR IS THEY TAKE THE WHOLE GOOD VS. EVIL A FEW STEPS TOO FAR ... YOU CANNOT HAVE AN ALLIANCE (GOOD) CHARACTER ON THE SAME SERVER AS YOUR HORDE (BAD) CHARACTER .... BUT OTHER THAN THAT ITS AWESOME
I PLAY ON MAELSTROM .... ITS A PRETTY GOOD SERVER .... A TRUE PVP SERVER IS WAYY FUNNER THOUGH

world of warcraft. they actually hit the 8 million mark, and the numbers are growing every day. just to warn you, though, it's an rpg, so if you don't like rpgs, then don't get WoW
