OVER THE WEEKEND MY SISTER CALLED ME AMILLION TIMES.I DIDNT ANSWER AND MY WIFE KEPT ASKING WHY.FINALLY ON WED MY SISTER GOT ME ON THE PHONE AND WAS BEGGING ME TO GO OUT TO THE MOVIES WITH HER.I TOLD HER NO AND SHE RAN THE GUILT TRIP ABOUT BEING A BAD OLDER BROTHER.SHE IS 23,IM 27.SHE SAID SHE WASNT GONNA CAL ME FOR 3 MONTHS CAUSE SHE WAS SO HURT THAT I NEVER COME AND SEE THE FAMILY CAUSE OF MY CONTROLLING WIFE.ANYWAY I GET HOME WED AND WERE WATCHING TV AND I TELL MY WIFE THE REASON MY SISTER CALLED.SHE'S STARTS GOING INTO A FIT ABOUT HOW SHE HATES MY FAMILY .SHE WAS LIKE YA FAMILY DIDNT EVEN INVITE ME(SHE DID INVITE HER BUT SHE KNOWS SHE'S A PARTY POOPER SO SHE DIDNT REALLY WANT HER TO GO). THEN THE NEXT EXCUSE WAS I DIDNT LET HER KNOW AHEAD OF TIME.THAT WAS FUNNY CAUSE WE WERE SUPPOSED TO GO WED NIGHT BUT IM AT HOME WITH THE WIFE.WHAT THE HELL DOES SHE MEAN I DIDNT ASK IN ADVANCE-I DIDNT GO.HOW EVERY TIME THEY CALL THERES PROBLEMS.I TOLD HER ITS PROBLEMS CAUSE YOU MAKE EM.2 B CONT.

I think that your wife is insecure and you need to stop babysitting her, she is a big girl, and I think that you need to discuss this issue. I can't believe she is so immature and doesn't understand that siblings sometimes want to be with each other without others!

Sounds to me like you would be better off if you didn't discuss your family AT ALL WITH YOUR WIFE. Just refuse to do it. That's how this scene you describe started.
It is so nice when family can overlook things and just except each other as they are and always be kind and happy toward one another. It takes maturity, and it can happen. Good Luck ~~~~~

I'd just tell her she needs to make an effort to get along with your family for your sake. Things will be alot smoother at home if she would just grow up & be an adult about this. Good Luck Hun
