Take your time. Really get to know the person. If it is right from the beginning, it will be right a year or two from now.

My ex and I dated 5 years and got married-- still ended in divorce 2 years later. I'm not sure it matters if you date 2 years or 5-- (no less than 2 though so you can be sure you see the good, the bad and the ugly). The biggest thing with marriage is growing together and moving toward the same goals. If you don't have those in common from the get go, then you are probably doomed regardless of how nice you both are. My current boyfriend of 2 1/2 years and I are very happy and I think he is definitely "it." This time around, I'm just making sure we are heading in the same direction in life so we can see it through til' death do us part. :)

My husband and I dated a little over a year and I was engaged. 1yr later married. He said and did all the right things. Just so you know I dated someone for 10yrs on and off and wasted a lot of time looking back now. To be honest when I met my husband I was in no way interested in a serious relationship and he new it.

We dated for 1 year and 7 months and at the end of the 7th month, we got married. But we both know after a couple of months.

I dated my bf that's my husband now, we been dated for like 6 months then have been given married. Untill now we've been married for 10 years and function 2 little ones. generic it take a minimum of years or 2 yet sometime it take in to 10 years. one in all my buddy been going out with this guy for 10 years now they only have been given married final year. So it incredibly matter the way you adult males get connect at the same time, understand who you elect to your destiny.

we met each other at work, we didn´t say a word about our interest until 21 days later, I decided to take to her house, we kissed, and we knew that was it. we dated for 4 months, got engaged, and 5 months later we got married. now its been almost a year since that happened, and we are very happy together.

My hubby and I were together for a year, moved in with eachother, were engaged for a year and now we are almost at our 3 year anniversary (Feb 21). But we knew we were ment to be together after our second date...we just felt so right with eachother (and no, we didn't have sex...it was like 5 months before we got intimate)...

I knew my husband for about five years before we got married!! Before we were dating we became friends!! We were friends for about two years!! We just knew it!! We just knew it! I can't recall the exact date or time but we both knew our separate journey had become one and we have been married for over ten years!
