I wish I could explore the universe too.

As to what it all means, that is more of a religious question.

You can explore the universe. Get involved in ASTRONOMY. Getting a decient amateur telescope is not that expensive anymore. Meade offers a GOTO (computerized hand controlled) 5.1" Newtonion reflector for $399.00 . theres also a guy on eBay, scopehead1 that offers last generation Meade scopes at really good prices (99.00 and up). If you want to get started cheaper than that, there are some in-expensive 3" reflectors you can buy on eBay for anywheres between 15-50 dollars used made by Jason, Edu-Science and Tele-Science. Stay away from the small refractors. While many of them do have decient optics (I can get a good view of saturn with my old 60mm) The tripods and mounts are so flimsy, they make trying to view anything but the moon a tremendous chore. Alt/Az mounts are fine for beginners as long as the mount and tripod is stable. There are several good sites on line for what to look for in your first scope and what to stay away from. Read as many of these as you can before you decide what is best for you. Most regional astronomy clubs hold regular star parties. This is where members set up their scopes in a dark area and allow memebers and guests to look through their scopes. You can better learn what you do and don't want, and can or can't afford by talking to these folks and looking through their equipment. You might even find a deal on a good used scope. One word of advice though, beware of the guy who has the massive telesope that will probally take 2hrs to break down and needs a truck to take it home. Not all of these, but alot of them will consider anything you could afford or own "junk" and be of little help. Go. Have fun. Feel it out. You don't need 50 eyepieces and a giant scope to enjoy astronomy. any 3" or bigger reflector, or 70mm or bigger refractor scope on a stable mount, 2-4 decient eyepieces and a 1.5 or 2x Barlow will give you all you need to start enjoying the fascinating hobby of space exploration. Keep looking up !!

It doesn't mean anything more than a rock does. It's just there.
